When a School Gets a New Walking Track

Sometimes the most powerful investments aren't measured in square footage or budget lines—they're measured in the sparkle you see in a kid's eyes when they see the community investing in them.

That's what projects like the John M. Clayton Elementary walking track are all about.

With support from the Quiet Resorts Charitable Foundation and other wonderful organizations, this community-driven initiative brought a brand-new walking track to John M. Clayton Elementary—a physical space that became so much more than a place to move. It became a symbol of investment in the school's students and educators. Staff, students, and partners rallied together to bring this vision to life as part of their vision to transform John M. Clayton into a vibrant hub of fitness, fun, and genuine engagement—a centerpiece that the entire area can be proud of.

The ripple effects of the new track have been real. A walking track may sound simple, but investing in projects like the track builds identity and morale, reinforces the importance of wellness, and deepens the sense of community among students, educators, and neighbors alike as they're all sharing the space.
