South Coastal Village Volunteers
Funded memberships for 6 low income community members so they could access the resources and support this organization provides.
At South Coastal Village Volunteers, there is a strong belief in the power of community and the strength that comes from neighbors helping neighbors. As individuals age, the desire to remain in their homes and maintain independence grows stronger. That is where South Coastal Village Volunteers comes in. Their dedicated team coordinates a network of volunteers who are eager to lend a hand, ensuring that everyone can thrive in their own space.
They offer a range of supportive services tailored to meet the needs of their members, including transportation to appointments and shopping, friendly home visits, regular telephone check-ins, errand running, technology assistance, and help with small household tasks. Currently, they proudly serve residents in the ZIP codes of Bethany Beach, Millville, Ocean View, and South Bethany, fostering connections that enhance the lives of their members through support, services, and social interaction. Together, they create a warm and welcoming community where everyone can flourish.
This grant enabled 6 low-income communities to access these services so they would live safer and fuller lives in their homes.
