SCHOLARSHIPS
The Quiet Resorts Charitable Foundation will be accepting applications for scholarships in early March 2012. Please check back to apply online or ask your school guidance counselor for an application after March 1st.
The Quiet Resorts Charitable Foundation believes that helping local students realize their college dreams benefits our entire community. In 2012, the foundation is awarding scholarships to local graduating seniors who reside in the towns of Fenwick Island, Bethany Beach, Ocean View, Millville, Clarksville, Selbyville, Frankford, Dagsboro, Millsboro and their surrounding rural areas. This area encompasses the zip codes of 19944, 19930, 19970, 19967, 19975, 19945, 19939 and 19966. Two $8,000 scholarships will be awarded in 2012. In addition to one regular QRCF scholarship, the foundation will also award the Capt. William O. Murray Scholarship, in honor of Capt. Murray, a former Chamber Board president, to a student who exhibits a strong commitment to civic and community service. Each recipient will be awarded $2,000 per year for four years. Both scholarships are based primarily on financial need but will be made available to other students if no qualified candidates apply.
